This dresser is entirely made by hand and is exquisitely handcrafted by skilled artisans native to India. Three craftsmen are employed to make a piece of inlay furniture. The process starts with building a wooden frame for the table. Pieces of bone / mother of pearl are carefully cut into delicate shapes by an artisan. The second artisan affixes these pieces in various intricate patterns onto the wooden frame, all by hand. The third artisan fills in around the bone with the coloured resin background.
The dresser is finally waxed and polished to bring out the detailed textures and beauty of the inlay work.
The entire process takes about 3 weeks.
Due to their handcrafted nature, no two pieces will be identical and minor variations from the images will occur.
