Handcrafted of naturally shed water buffalo horn, our frame is truly exceptional. Artisans carefully select the finest horn, cure and cut it, then affix it to a solid wood frame. The piece is finished with a lustrous polish, highlighting the natural spectrum of horn coloring. Each frame has its own patterns, variations and color; the result of time-honored craftsmanship and horn’s distinct natural characteristics.

This picture frame is entirely made by hand and is exquisitely handcrafted by skilled artisans native to India.
Adorned with intricately carved recycled and naturally occurring buffalo horn, it takes a team of several artisans to create a single frame. One artisan is responsible for hand carving each piece of horn into delicate shapes. A second person affixes those pieces onto a wooden base set for the frame. The frame is then finally buffed, sanded and polished to bring forward the natural sheen on the horn.
It takes a team of artisans 4-5 days to complete a single piece.
Due to their handcrafted nature, no two pieces will be identical and minor variations from the images will occur.
